WATERMELON MOJITO

INGREDIENTS

Serves: 5-6 glasses

Watermelon pulp
2 cups
Lemons
3-4 big
Mint leaves
1 cup
Ginger
1 inch
Rock Salt (kaala namak)
½ tsp
Chat Masala
1 tsp
Powdered sugar
5-6 tsp
(more if you like it sweeter)
Soda/ sprite
1 cup
(more if you like it more aerated)
Water
5 cups

METHOD

  1. Shred the ginger and boil it in a cup of water. Now cool this.
  2. Take the 3/4th of the mint leaves and chop them. Add them into a cup of water and keep it aside.
  3. Chop the watermelon and then make a pulp out of it. I simple mashed it with a masher to retain some pieces. You can also make a complete pulp in a juicer mixer. Just remember to lose any of the nice juice of the watermelons, its the tastemaker of the recipe.
  4. Now add, powdered sugar, chat masala and kaala namak (rock salt) to the watermelon juice.
  5. Take a jar, and squeeze the lemons.
  6. Add the soda (you can also use sprite) to the lemon juice.
  7. Add the watermelon juice to it. Also add the ginger ale and mint water into it through a strainer.
  8. Mix well. Add some crushed ice. Garnish with rest of the mint leaves. The watermeon mojito is ready to be served. Put a straw and sip on.
