Turmeric Latte with Wildflower Honey | Golden Milk | Haldi ka Doodh
"A healthy outside starts from inside!"
- Robert Urich
That's a belief to be believed on with all your heart. Your lifestyle depends on what you eat and what you think. Nothing is more important than how healthy you are from inside. No matter what size, what shape or what colour; a healthy mind, body and soul is what you should aim for. And that starts with eating right.
With all my recent posts, you already know I have been moving towards a healthier lifestyle. It doesn't mean going on a crash diet, or even crash exercising but taking baby steps to climb the ladder of a fitter life. And the biggest change that I'm presently bringing about in my food is using fresh, organic and healthier ingredient alternatives. That's where YOGIS ORGANIC came into my life. The humble folks at Yogis Organic sent in an absolutely amazing set of organic food products that I cant get enough of.
I made this age old recipe of Turmeric Milk which is also known as Golden Milk these days because of its beautiful yellow/golden hue and the long list of health benefits it offers. It hasn't been long since the western world has known about this grandmas favourite, panacea for all illness recipe of Haldi ka Doodh in the form of Turmeric Latte. But it has definitely taken the world by a storm now with everyone talking about how magical it is.
So, I prepared my version of Turmeric Latte with Yogis Organic Wildflower Honey which is an exotic collection of honey made by bees using nectar of wildflowers from tropical forests. It has a lovely aroma, rich authentic taste, soft texture and a beautiful dark woody colour. Completely organic and containing minerals such as iron, zinc, sodium, potassium, phosphorous and calcium, its a perfect healthy addition to any recipe. You can buy it here on amazon.

¾ tsp
|
Almonds (powdered)
|
5-6
|
Cashews (powdered)
|
5-6
|
Cinnamon Powder
|
½ tsp

Cardamom (Elaichi)
|
½ tsp

Organic Honey
|
4 tsp
|
METHOD
- Boil milk in a sauce pan.
- Once it boils add the spices to it and cook for 2 min. (It will give out a lovely aroma)
- Now add the turmeric and cook for another 1 min. (Cooking it removes the raw flavour of turmeric.)
- Add the powdered cashew and almond to this and cook for another 30-40 sec.
- Finally add the honey to this milk and mix well. Turn off the heat.
Serve hot with some biscuits or have it as it is every night and morning to keep your mind, body and soul fresh and active.
Happy Drinking!
